Your Crew

Alisa’s four-person crew brings dedication, experience, and a friendly, personal touch to each voyage. The captain ensures smooth sailing and shares local knowledge along the route, while the cook prepares meals that reflect the flavors of the region. Deckhands handle daily operations and assist with water activities, ensuring everything runs seamlessly and safely. From anchoring in quiet bays to setting up paddleboards, the crew is always nearby to help—while giving guests space to relax.

Cuisine Onboard image 1

Cuisine Onboard

Meals aboard Alisa highlight the rich traditions of Croatian and Mediterranean cuisine. Fresh ingredients and seasonal produce shape a menu of local specialties, prepared daily by your onboard chef. Guests can enjoy relaxed breakfasts, seafood lunches on deck, and open-air dinners under the stars. Typical dishes may include grilled fish, risottos, fresh salads, and traditional Dalmatian recipes, often paired with Croatian wines for a complete and satisfying dining experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once we confirm the availability of your chosen gulet and you’re ready to book, you will sign a charter agreement—either our standard contract or a MYBA agreement (used for the most luxurious vessels).

*MYBA is the Mediterranean Yacht Broker Association and sets the standards for everyone in the industry to adhere to. The agreement will also include any additional charges and taxes that may apply to your choice of itinerary.

To officially secure your gulet, a 50% deposit of the charter fee is required, along with the signed agreement. Around two months before departure, the remaining balance and any pre-arranged extras are due—and that’s when we dive into planning the details of your trip.

Learn more about the step-by-step booking process here.

From the moment you get in touch, we’ll work with you to shape an itinerary that matches your travel style, interests, and pace.

Of course, your final itinerary may be shaped by a few factors—like the gulet’s range, weather conditions, and the captain’s expert advice. Safety always comes first, and sometimes marina availability can also influence your overnight stops.

To get inspired, take a look at our sample itineraries—they’re a great starting point for building a journey that’s truly your own.

If you want the best selection, early booking is highly recommended. The most popular gulets with top crews and service often get booked up to a year in advance, especially for peak summer dates.

While it’s sometimes possible to find something last-minute (around 2–3 months before departure), options are limited and tend to go fast as the season approaches.

Not sure what’s still available? Talk to our charter broker and we’ll gladly check the latest options for your preferred dates.

Croatia’s Mediterranean climate makes it a great gulet destination from spring through autumn, with each season offering a different experience. Here’s what to expect:

  • Low Season: Spring (April – May)

Ideal for travelers who enjoy mild temperatures, quiet bays, and lower rates. The sea is cooler, but the scenery is lush and the towns are peaceful.

  • Mid-Season: Early Summer (June) & Late Summer (September)

A perfect balance—warm weather, swimmable seas, and lively towns without peak-season crowds. This is one of the best times for a gulet charter.

  • High Season: Peak Summer (July – August)

The height of the sailing season, when Croatia buzzes with energy. Croatia is hot, sunny, and full of energy. Marinas are bustling, nightlife is in full swing, and popular gulets book out fast—so early planning is key.

  • Low Season: Autumn (October)

A quieter, more relaxed experience with warm days and calm seas. Some seasonal spots may begin to close, but it's perfect for those seeking privacy and space.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a well-established custom in the charter world and always appreciated by the crew. If you’re happy with the service, a gratuity of 10% to 15% of the charter fee is considered appropriate.

Tips are usually given to the captain at the end of the trip, who then distributes the amount fairly among the entire crew.

Croatia’s official currency is the Euro. For payments onboard, you should carry some cash with you.

While most shops, restaurants, and services on land accept card payments, it’s a good idea to carry some cash, especially for small purchases or local spots.

Need to withdraw money? ATMs are widely available in all major towns and ports, so accessing cash is easy during your trip.

All of our crews are fluent in English. In fact, many crew members are multilingual, often speaking Italian, German, or Spanish in addition to English.

Compared to other gulet destinations, like Turkey, where English fluency can sometimes be limited, Croatia stands out for its excellent communication and guest-friendly crews.

No problem—we’re here to help beyond what you see online. Our team constantly updates the fleet with the latest and best gulets available, including new builds and newly added vessels. If you don’t see your perfect match on our site, just let us know what you’re looking for.

We have a full overview of the Croatian charter market and thanks to our extensive partner network, we can also source top-quality gulets in other leading destinations like Turkey, Greece, and Montenegro.

“We had an amazing experience aboard the Gulet Maske! From the moment we boarded, the crew made us feel right at home. Captain Marko, who is a seasoned sailor and knows the Adriatic like the back of his hand, ensured we had a safe and scenic journey. He was very accommodating with the itinerary and made sure to tailor it to our group's preferences. The boat is stunning – spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities one could need. The cabins were very comfortable and clean, and the main deck had plenty of room for lounging and dining al fresco. The best part of the whole experience was the food! Chef Ivan cooked gourmet meals every day, using fresh local ingredients, and we were treated to a different and delicious spread for every meal. His attention to detail in both the presentation and flavors was second to none. The crew was also incredible. Nada, the stewardess, took such good care of us, offering drinks, arranging activities, and always with a smile. We felt pampered and taken care of. We particularly enjoyed the water sports – snorkeling, paddleboarding, and the jet ski were big hits with everyone. One of the highlights of our trip was spending an entire afternoon at a secluded cove where we swam, relaxed, and had a beautiful picnic on the beach. All in all, this was a trip of a lifetime, and we are already planning our next charter with the crew of Maske. Highly recommended!”
