Lopud Island
Location
Southern Dalmatia
Location
Southern Dalmatia
Lopud is one of the Elaphiti Islands, located just northwest of Dubrovnik. Known for its sandy beaches, palm-lined waterfront, and car-free atmosphere, the island offers a relaxed contrast to the busy streets of Dubrovnik.
Arriving by yacht, the island appears green and peaceful, with a wide bay opening toward the village of Lopud. The harbor is framed by old stone houses, small churches, and a long seaside promenade shaded by palm trees.
Where You’ll Spend Time
Most yachts anchor inside Lopud Bay or dock along the village waterfront.
The main village stretches along the harbor promenade, with cafés, small hotels, and restaurants facing the sea. Just behind the promenade are narrow paths leading past historic villas and gardens.
On the far side of the island lies Šunj Beach, a wide sandy bay that is unusual for the Croatian coast and one of Lopud’s most popular spots.
